BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Community Building
March 16, 2022
Attending board members: Sue Aldred, Barb Safiran, Mandy Donovan, Sid Dev, Julius Maes, Matt Benecke, and Mayor Dave Mueller.
Meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call.
Guest – Discussion on citations being sent out.
February Board Minutes, February Treasurers’ Report, and March Invoices payable
Motion to approve Barb Safiran, 2nd Matt Benecke, roll call vote all ayes.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Water and Sewer – Sid Dev/Markus Chapman – Mandy Donovan made a motion to purchase a pump for $4,300. 2nd Sue Aldred, roll call vote, all ayes.
Community Events & Building Permits – Barb Safiran – No permits. Easter Egg Hunt is April 16th at Scott Park. 10 AM. If it rains, we will hand out candy at the Community Building. Sid Dev made a motion to approve a permit for Hartco to bore 77 feet under the street by the cell phone tower, if we get a 6-month, $20,000 Insurance bond. 2nd Julius Maes, motion carried.
Ordinances and Garbage Collection – Sue Aldred – 75% of the abandoned vehicles have been removed. Other are in process. We will be working on dog registrations next. We will also be working on yard clean up so residents can get their yards cleaned up in time for clean-up days
Police, Emergency Plan – Mandy Donovan – Shaun, Roy and Eric are working with Sue Aldred on the abandoned vehicles list. The police department need a new computer.
Streets – Matt Benecke – Once it’s dry, we will be starting to work on cold patch.
Village Equipment – Julius Maes – Raymond will be doing most of the vehicle maintenance.
Finance, Insurance, License & Fees – Dave Mueller – All funds are in the black.
MAYOR’S REPORT
Housing Grant – Home rehab is coming along nicely.
Neponset Park Improvement – Balance is approximately $30,000.
Rebild Main Street Grant – We will know by April 1st if we get the grant.
Nextlink Contract – Working on negotiation with New Net Wave. AMG will be getting a notice to vacate the tower.
Budget - Barb Safiran made a motion to approve the 5/1/2022-4/30/23 Budget. 2nd, Sue Aldred, roll call vote all ayes.
Tax Levy – We will be adding Streets to the tax levy.
